Dr Peter Brukner OAM
Dr Peter Brukner OAM is a rockstar in the low carb world. He is a renowned sports medicine physician and has been a tireless advocate for the improved health of Australians. He is best selling author and the founder of Defeat Diabetes and Sugar by Half. He is a wonderfully engaging and entertaining speaker.
Dr Avi Charlton
Dr Avi Charlton is a GP with a special interest and subsequent qualification in Low Carb Nutrition with Nutrition Network and Australasian College of Nutrition and Environment Medicine. Avi has treated many patients for weight management and helped them lose weight, improve nutrition and even reverse metabolic syndrome and diabetes. She is the founder of Melbourne Low Carb Clinic, a GP specialist clinic to promote healthy nutrition and lifestyle. She has started it up in October 2022. The clinic offers thorough consultations up to 45 minutes each consultation.
Dr Mary Barson
Dr Mary has an honours degree in biochemistry as well as a medical degree. She is the co-founder of Real Life Medicine and is passionate about empowering people to reclaim their health using a low carb approach and her expert training in self compassion. She is a qualified hypnotherapist and has her own journey with severe insulin resistance and PCOS
Dr Lucy Burns
Dr Lucy is the co-founder of Real Life Medicine. She is known for her ability to take complex topics and distil them into easy to understand analogies. In fact, she is the self-proclaimed "Analogy Queen". She is an ex-dieter and an expert in sugar addiction having overcome her own severe addiction using the power of stories.
Dr Ron Schweitzer
Dr Ronald Schweitzer is a general practitioner and part-time lecturer at Monash University for the Year 4 undergraduate medical students in the Department of General Practice. Ron's major area of interest is in the low carbohydrate, healthy fat (LCHF) eating approach. He embraced LCHF, both personally and professionally, in 2018 after extensive research. He now uses the LCHF approach in the management of a number of conditions including but not limited to diabetes and pre-diabetes, weight loss, fatty liver, high blood pressure (hypertension) and abnormal lipids.
Tracey McBeath
Tracey McBeath - The Health & Healing Coach - lives in Melbourne, Australia. She is a mum of 5, an author, global health coach and coach mentor, a Nutrition Network lecturer and mentor, qualified personal trainer, public speaker, and the founder of the Low Carb Lifestyle Hub. Tracey has been working full time as a health coach in the low carb space for over 7 years. At 40 she was propelled to totally change her lifestyle after a fatty liver and pre diabetes diagnosis. Now at nearly 50 she has never been leaner, healthier, and full of energy to keep up with her very busy and full life.
Dr Jenny Nicopolous
Dr Jenny Nicopolous is a dermatologist practising in Fairfield. She has a broad range of dermatology interests including skin cancer diagnosis, acne, rosacea, eczema, hair and nail disorders, cosmetic and acute medical dermatology. Dr Jenny is committed to holistic and individualised care of her patients.
Prof Karen Dwyer
Dr Karen Dwyer is a nephrologist and transplant physician with an interest in metabolic health. Karen is Clinical Director at Kidney Health Australia and Professor of Medicine at Deakin University. Karen is passionate about improving the health and well-being of the community taking a holistic and integrated approach with an emphasis on lifestyle management.
Dr Anju Joham
Dr Anju Joham is an endocrinologist and Senior Research Fellow at the Monash Centre for Health Research and Implementation, Monash University. She completed her PhD focusing on Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, obesity and insulin resistance. In her PhD, Dr Joham was involved in a mechanistic insulin resistance study that examined insulin resistance in women who are lean and of higher weight compared to women without PCOS.
Dr Max Gulhane
Dr Max Gulhane is an Emergency Medicine Doctor & GP Registrar. He is also the host of the Regenerative Health Podcast. Max Advocates for animal-based eating and regenerative farming.
Elly McLean
Elly has a bachelor’s degree in Health Science, majoring in Exercise Science and Nutrition. She is an Associate of the Nutrition Society of Australia, registered with the Complimentary Medicine Association and a certified Integrative Health Coach. Elly specialises in supporting active women to feel and perform their best.
