Dr James Muecke AM
Dr James Muecke is an ophthalmologist based in South Australia, in 2000 he founded the not for profit organisation Sight For All, which is dedicated to fighting all causes of blindness with projects in Aboriginal and other Australian communities, as well as in Asia and Africa. He speaks, with compelling evidence and conviction, about the need to prevent the leading cause of blindness in adults – type 2 diabetes – a disease that impacts nearly one in every 10 Australians and is now recognised as a “looming catastrophe for our health system”.
Dr Laureen Lawlor-Smith
Dr Laureen Lawlor-Smith is a GP specialising in Low Carbohydrate Ketogenic Health. Director at Low Carb Keto Health. Laureen has been using a low carbohydrate/ketogenic approach for years and has experienced both personally and professionally the dramatic health transformation this dietary change can produce.
Dr Mary Barson
Dr Mary has an honours degree in biochemistry as well as a medical degree. She is the co-founder of Real Life Medicine and is passionate about empowering people to reclaim their health using a low carb approach and her expert training in self compassion. She is a qualified hypnotherapist and has her own journey with severe insulin resistance and PCOS
Dr Lucy Burns
Dr Lucy is the co-founder of Real Life Medicine. She is known for her ability to take complex topics and distil them into easy to understand analogies. In fact, she is the self-proclaimed "Analogy Queen". She is an ex-dieter and an expert in sugar addiction having overcome her own severe addiction using the power of stories.
Nicole Moore
Nicole has been an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) for over 20 years. She is a Low Carb Specialist helping people to reverse chronic disease and improve their general health and well being through nutritional therapy. She also coaches, trains and mentors dietitians nationally and regularly presents to GP groups and the general public about the benefits of low carb nutrition and how to practically achieve this lifestyle.
Dr Carolyn Harris
Dr Carolyn Harris is a Nutritional GP who approaches her role with a focus on lifestyle, especially diet, in the management and prevention of disease. Carolyn has 30 years' experience as a specialist GP and also at least a decade as a trailblazer, working with patients to treat and reverse insulin resistance.
Dr Ron Schweitzer
Dr Ronald Schweitzer is a general practitioner and part-time lecturer at Monash University for the Year 4 undergraduate medical students in the Department of General Practice. Ron's major area of interest is in the low carbohydrate, healthy fat (LCHF) eating approach. He embraced LCHF, both personally and professionally, in 2018 after extensive research. He now uses the LCHF approach in the management of a number of conditions including but not limited to diabetes and pre-diabetes, weight loss, fatty liver, high blood pressure (hypertension) and abnormal lipids.
Emma Martin

Emma is a Qualified Coach and Nutritionist, educator and trainer specialising in the Health, Wellness and Real Food space. She mentors and speaks about 1% pivots - transformational tips such as Mindset, Fat Loss, Eat More. Move Differently, Self Sabotage and many other educational health reclaim topics.
Dr Jonathan Martin
Dr Martin is a gastroenterologist based in Adelaide. His interest in low carb nutrition was sparked by his wife Rachelle who is a Masters Qualified Nutritionist and with whom he works closely. He has become a passionate advocate of low carb and keto diets for weight management, irritable bowel syndrome, fatty liver disease and cardiovascular risk. Dr Martin and Rachelle make up the Unley Park Specialist Centre, located at 386 Unley Road, Unley Park, South Australia.
Rachelle Martin
Rachelle is an independent nutritionist and a metabolic health and weight loss specialist. She has a very high success rate with her patient-focused, individualised diet plans, backed by strong scientific evidence. Rachelle has a background in food journalism and is a serious cook. She has a Masters Degree of Human Nutrition from Deakin University, a Bachelor of Nursing, as well as a Bachelor of Management. She is happily married to gastroenterologist, Dr Jonathan Martin, PhD.
