I was the diet queen. I have been on every diet known to (wo)man.
I was excellent at losing weight but keeping it off was the issue.

I have PCOS, a hormonal condition that resulted in weight gain from puberty.
I spent decades hiding my body and trying to find solutions.
I tried everything to manage my weight.
I exercised like crazy.
I followed traditional diet advice.
I finally found the solution by changing what and when I ate-not how much I ate.
I lowered my insulin levels, stopped being hungry, shed the kilos and even had a baby
Why are we so interested in weight management?
Well, 2 reasons:
(1) Like many of you, we've both been overweight and on an endless weight loss journey.
(2) We see the profound effects this problem has on the health of our patients, resulting in more disease, more medications and more complications.
We got sick of dishing out pills and thought there had to be a better way.
We realised that everything we learnt (and everything we were teaching) about weight loss was wrong! Calorie counting, weighing, measuring and tracking is not the answer.
In fact, to reduce body fat and prevent (or even reverse!) chronic disease, we actually need to address something called ‘metabolic hormones’.
It's chemistry, not maths!
And to maintain weight loss, we need to develop our mindset so we can weather all the storms that come with the crazy thing called LIFE!
Now it's time for you to make one of two choices.
Do Nothing
The first choice is to choose to
do nothing. You can absolutely do that but...
And, as you already know, if you choose nothing...
then nothing changes and you are still looking for that elusive magic bullet, feeling tired, sluggish and blah!*
